You’ll no doubt be aware the debut album ‘93 Million Miles‘ from the Mark Pritchard and Steve Spacek collaboration that’s known as Afrika Hitech has just been released on Warp but we weren’t about to let this one go without a mention. Brought together over a love for techno, soul and digital dancehall, the duo who once described themselves as being about an ‘ism’ – an African connection between rhythm and machine – have produced an album that’s been called ‘an unflinchingly ambitious product…that carves a new faultline into the rapidly expanding terrain of bass music…or whatever it’s being called this week’.
