The music of Egyptrixx has been described as ‘celestial club music’ or ‘jeep music for a Saturn desert’ and his next release is a multi-media collaboration on LESS Music with Berlin based visial artists Datdatdat and indie band Ohbijou. Released on a limited ten inch vinyl ‘Old Black’ see’s the Toronto producer covering a track from infamous doom/drone pioneers Earth’s most recent album that swaps the mournful, heavy riffs of the original for warm waves of synth gloss. While on the flip side, the more harsh grind and synth-heavy drone rock rhythms of ‘Hiawatha’ switch effortlessley between melody and dissonance.
