The new West In Dust label launched recently out in California with a free fourteen track compilation intended to give a picture of future releases that will be, in the label’s own words ‘mostly coming from the stonier, more personal side of post-everything style beats’. Formed by Mapzzz founder Glenn Jackson and Oakland beat maker Elephant & Castle, the project will roll out both digital and seven inch vinyl releases throughout the year, and the compilation, featuring tunes from an international cast of up and coming artists such as Placeholder, Medla, Xavier León, Colo, Yalls, Garland, Different Sleep and Ra Cailum, is available for free download here.
