We previously mentioned Manchester based Ian Scott and Joe Wreatham, also known as Big Mister Doom, when we featured the duo’s recent mixtape that was put out to coincide with the release of the ‘Disconnected Repeater’ EP on Dutch label Fremdtunes. Billed as ‘more mellow and emotive than their previous work….an ingenious mixture of downtempo leftfield hiphop and deeply textured electronic music’, the six strong collection includes four nocturnal, atmospheric originals, plus a remix courtesy of labelmate Planes and a dub version from Huess (Inaudible Answer), who dabbles with the release’s beautifully crafted centrepiece ‘Anybody Out There’, featuring vocals from IET.
