oki-ni Mix Series

Paris producer Mondkopf has just released the ‘Day Of Anger’ EP on Fool House which will be followed by the ‘Rising Doom’ album on May 18th, and while both titles suggest music from a darker perspective, the leftfield techno is tempered with a definite energy and some beautiful arrangements. He’s responsible for the latest in the ongoing oki-ni mix series which is billed as ‘not for the light hearted’ and begins with something from Khanate which Mondkopf describes as ‘one of the blackest things I’ve ever heard’. The theme continues with tracks from Portishead, Suicide and Burial Hex before giving way to some slightly lighter ambience from Turzi and Burzum. Get it after the jump at your peril

Khanate – Pieces Of Quiet
Liars – Drum And The Uncomfortable Can
Portishead – Machine Gun
Suicide – Frankie Teardrop
Current 93 – Imperium II
Sunglasses After Dark – Morbid Silence
Virgin Prunes – Come To Daddy
Burial Hex – Go Crystal Tears
Turzi – A Notre Père
Burzum – Tomhe
