The True Groove

There was plenty of the usual speculation about the identity of boogie producer ARP.101 upon his ‘Dead Leaf’ debut release for Eglo Records a couple of years back, and it since transpired through subsequent releases and live appearances that it was another handle for Belgian born Drum & Bass producer Alix Perez. He’ll be playing Eglo’s third birthday party at Fabric on March 8th alongside label mates Floating Points, Funkineven, Alexander Nut, plus a live band featuring Fatima, Shaunise and Olivier Daysoul, and to mark the occasion the loose, electronic funk of ‘Mystery Man’ has been made available as a free download.[via]
