The Promise Of Sleep

The latest from Bristol label A Future Without is the sublime six-track ‘Oneironautics’ EP from With Joyful Lips otherwise known as UK based audio visual artist Keith Vaz, who you might know better as the guitarist for Chris Ward’s live incarnation of Tropics. Described as ‘a unique marriage of rich folk guitar and poetic vocals, laid on a heavy bed of 2-step bass-driven beats’, it’s out on July 2nd digitally or on a limited edition four inch fully art-worked postcard version, and includes a couple of collaborations with dubstep producer Asa, who Vaz teamed up with for a release on Fent Plates Records earlier in the year. The inclusion of some well placed spoken-word samples centered predominantly around the theme of sleep certainly add to the ethereal, late night quality of the EP, and follow the link below for a video of the track ‘Sleep And His Half-Brother Death’.
