Breaking Through

The first taster of the forthcoming Brainfeeder released ‘Breakthrough’ debut album from The Gaslamp Killer has just been released in the shape of the ‘Flange Face’ single that features Miguel Atwood-Fergsuon, and is backed by the Dimlite collaboration ‘Seven Years Of Bad Luck For Fun’. The Los Angeles based artist recently explanined in an interview with Serato that ‘I do not make club music. I’m not making party music. I’m making head music.’ and if you’re familar with any of Willy Bensussen’s previous output, you’ll know what to expect from the forthcoming long player, although the beat-heavy sonic dissonance on this release seemingly descends deeper into a nicely warped psych-rock melting pot than the previous material. Further contributions come from Gonja Sufi, Daedelus, Computer Jay, Samiyam and Shigeto, and it’s officially out September 17th.
