Asleep In the Suburbs

Following a couple of releases last year on Black Acre, Bristol multi-instrumentalist and producer William Yates otherwise known as Memotone returns to the label with some heavily textured, layered instrumentation on his ‘I Sleep. At Waking’ album which is out October 15th. First impressions suggest that the melancholic atmosphere, twisted melodies and intricate rhythms of the previous releases are very much in place on a record that requires a bit of work from the listener, but that will doubtless reveal more and more of itself every time you return. An introspective soundtrack for the encroaching darker nights, here’s a little taster from it.
