Variously Made Men

Berlin based singer-songwriter and electronic musician Rudi Zygadlo follow’s up his Planet Mu released ‘Great Western Laymen’ debut album with another collection of off-kilter, inventive songs that will probably prove hard to pigeonhole. On ‘Tragecomidies’ he seems to have largely moved away from the dubstep influence that formed much of the foundation for his work on the debut, shifting onto something that has been described by the label as ‘a puzzling, romantic and emotionally open album’ that manages to be both cerebral and brimming with pop sensibilities at the same time. Influenced and inspired by Greek Mythology and the work of American author Thomas Pynchon, the video for first single ‘Melpomene’ is here if you didn’t see it first time around, and this track ‘Russian Dolls’ has recently been made available for free download.
