Vengeance Rhythm

This charming little video by stop motion animator and director Chris Ullens for the first single taken from the just released ‘Stunt Rhythms’ album by Amon Tobin, under his recently revived Two Fingers alias, just went live on the internets. The album, available for download, on double CD with die-cut slipcase, or on triple yellow vinyl from Ninja Tune off-shoot Big Dada, is a loosely cohesive collection of big, brutal beats and even bigger basslines that belie their intricate construction and design. Now approaching the end of the huge ISAM audio visual installation tour, you get the sense that someone of Tobin’s obvious production pedigree is letting off a bit of steam with these big beats that have been described as ‘a kind of mutant, futuristic spawn of hip hop’.
