The Way The World Ends

On it’s release last year some people called the beat-heavy, doom-laden, west coast psychedelic hip hop of  the ‘Breakthrough’ album by The Gaslamp Killer ‘a manic and mystic trip through the mind of a madman’, with one of the many highlights being the Gonja Sufi featuring ‘In The Dark’. That track has now now got a visual accompaniment courtesy Dano Cerny and Marielle Tepper aka Hyperballad that was filmed in a twelfth century medieval crypt in Prague and, taking it’s lead from the basic forces that informed the writing of the song, features imagery representing contrasting cycles of light and dark, male and female, and good and evil.
