Going Visible

In the run up to next month’s release of his new album ‘Fourth: The Golden Eagle’ on his own newly formed DRUT Recordings, London beat maker Kelpe has dropped a new track and it’s got a video courtesy of Dutch visual artists Graphic Surgery and mookx. The ten track collection, produced on an assortment of analogue gear including Moog, Korg Polysix, Korg MS10 and Doepfer Dark Energy, is billed as being ‘softer, warmer and more graceful’ than it’s predecessor ‘Cambio Wechsel’, and in his own words Kelpe says, ‘On the whole, I was trying to make the warmest and most analogue sounding thing I’ve done, and I think it came out best on ‘Answered’. The rest of the LP, in a way, is an extended build up to that favourite track on the record, which in itself was an opportunity to take leave of everything preceding it and go off on an epic trip.’
