Back On The Planet

Prolific Los Angeles beat maker and producer Ras G will bring his Afrikan Space Program back home with the ‘Back On The Planet’ album on August 13th, his first via Brainfeeder since the ‘Brotha From Anotha Planet’ long player several years ago. If you encountered that, or the Space Program’s limited vinyl re-issue of ‘Ghetto Sci-Fi’ on Poobah, that featured some deep space exploration laced with space-funk rhythms, subterranean basslines and big percussion, then you’ll know what to expect from a release that promises ‘ancient Afrikan poly-drum rhythms meet outer-synth splashes of white noise’ and ‘intuitive experimentation melded with deep sub-harmonics for an otherworldly experience’.
