Higher And Higher

The seemingly botany obsessed Utrecht based artist known as David Douglas previously released the ‘Royal Horticultural Society’ EP on Atomnation. The interesting eight track collection was described in terms of ‘warm, playful, analog, adventurous, diverse and pure’, and while these are obviously over-used adjectives, in this case they mostly proved to be accurate. He’s just followed up that release with the single ‘Higher’ which is out today on Atomnation and precede’s a forthcoming full length release. The nicely paced, colourful original has been given the remix treatment by fellow Dutch producer’s Weval and Mattheis, while Ross Tones aka Throwing Snow adds a murkily inventive, almost pseudo-industrial slant to things.
