Michigan Dreaming

Todd Osborn has been something of a house music mainstay as Osborne since his early releases on Ghostly imprint Spectral, but the Michigan native has something of a Drum & Bass pedigree having run both Rewind Records and the Dubplate Pressure store, which was the first of its kind in the Detroit area. As Soundmurderer his collaborations with Dabyre have leant towards a rugged jungle sound, but his next release on FaltyDL’s label Blueberry Records displays a broad musical palette. The meticulously crafted four-track ‘Michigan Dream’ EP includes disco-house, grinding acid-techno, instrumental hip hop, and our pick ‘752am’ which is probably closest to an amalgamation of the styles his other monikers are best known for.
