Numbers & Shapes

Brooklyn based composer Rebecca Brandt’s debut album ‘Numbers & Shapes’ which was released almost a couple of years ago mixed electro-acoustic, contemporary classical and electronic sounds, and went on to receive a top twenty five shortlist nomination at last year’s Grammys. She was subsequently approached by Green Village about a remix album based on the original pieces, and after a year in the making ‘Numbers & Shapes : Revisited’ has just been released. A total of fourteen remixes have been assembled from a host of wide-ranging producers including Starkey (Planet Mu), Policy (100% Silk), Doctor Jeep (Trouble & Bass) and Rabit (Keysound), for a project put together ‘to create dance floor-driven tracks built off classical elements, to play with the rules of genre and have some fun’. It’s all available on a name-your-price basis via bandcamp.
