The Other Side

Croydon producer Deft continues to build on the good work of last year’s Blade Runner referencing ‘Voigt Kampff’ EP on Project Mooncircle with a five track collection that further see’s him largely exploring a more high-tempo side to his sound. While the WotNot released ‘Always Greener’ is a cohesive set in terms of it’s soundtrack like qualities, each individual cut is distinctly different, ranging from the bubbling, sci-fi juke of opening track ‘Emeralds’ through to the warm house tones of ‘Octavia’ and the broken beat, bass-heavy ‘A Little Kiss’, before closing with the intricate, rolling Drum & Bass rhythms of ‘Perky’. For a more in-depth look at the release and the process behind it go to Hyponik.
