Have It Your Way

We’ve always has something of a soft spot for the talents of Scottish songwriter and multi instrumentalist Rudi Rygadlo since his ‘Great Western Laymen’ debut album on Planet Mu, and it’s been a couple of year’s since the playfully experimental ‘Tragicomidies’ follow up, which was made while he was living in Berlin. Now transplanted to London, the first in a series of tracks set to be released over the coming months came in the form of the piano-heavy ‘Dissident Song’, and more recently it’s been followed by ‘Lily’, which has just been put out on Bandcamp on a pay what you like basis. Produced by Tim Goldsworthy of DFA reknown and Goldfrapp affiliate Bruno Ellingham, it’s a winding, hook-laden, sturdy piece of sensory electronic pop music.
