A Black Mist Coming

Manchester based label Front & Follow recently announced the next phase in its on-going collaborations with shadowy Brighton audio-visual collective The Outer Church with the release of the ‘Black Mist’ EP from Head Technician aka Pye Corner Audio. Probably best known for the murky, analogue transmissions of the ‘Black Mill Tapes’ series that sat somewhere between deep house, slow techno, John Carpenter soundtracks and classic electronica, the new release features an extended version of the title track (the original appeared on last year’s Outer Church compilation), new track ‘Bulk Erase’, and a remix courtesy of Old Apparatus, who provide a maniacally distressed deconstruction in fitting with their rusty, machine-tooled aesthetic. Out August 18th on vinyl and digital, it’s available from the Front & Follow store or the Bandcamp link below.
