Celestial Selections

Upon it’s release back in the early summer, the debut ‘Vapor’ long player by Japanese sound designer and producer Yosi Horikawa was called ‘an album in the old-fashioned sense, a tightly-woven sonic journey that benefits from repeated listens’. Comprising sixteen tracks that take in a diverse selection of rhythms and melodies, but probably fall closest to groove-heavy electronic hip hop and colorfully hyper bass music, it’s a meticulously put together, creative release which ultimately benefit’s from being listened to from beginning to end to truly appreciate what the Red Bull Music Academy alumnus is attempting to convey through the music. As usually happens with these things, the first in a series of remix releases has recently been put out featuring three interpretations of album tracks courtesy of Daisuke Tanabe, kidkanevil, Fulgeance.
