Immersed In Reflection

Ghostly International is set to revisit its partnership with Adult Swim for a second installment of ‘Ghostly Swim’, a mere six years after the well-regarded first volume, with a free present for Christmas. Curated by the Ann Arbor and Brooklyn-based music hub in celebration of its fifteenth anniversary, the exclusive selection of unreleased material from label artists such as Shigeto, Lord RAJA, Heathered Pearls and CFCF spans lush ambient works, lop-sided house music and slanted techno productions, and is being put out on December 23rd with the intention of providing something of an escape from the excesses of the festive period. This spirit of quiet isolation apparently references how Brian Eno originally came upon the notion of ambient music as quietly meandering sonic wallpaper, and whereas the first edition took an adventurously bold look at abstract dance and pop music, this time around the focus is more meditative, shifting inwards ‘to reflect the electronic underground in all of its hazy and vibrant experimentalism’.
