Glasgow quartet Laki Mera are responsible for some intricate and subtle folktronica with a big atmospheric feel and their debut album ‘The Proximity Effect’ on Just Music has been described as ‘a ghostly wall of sound of extrordinary emotional power’. They’ve already been getting inevitable comparrisons to Cocteau Twins, Portishead and The xx, along with fellow Glaswegian ambient maestros The Blue Nile, while enduring Scots rockers Mogwai have turned in this remix of album track ‘Crater’ which is available for free download here.
