Bristol producer Joseph McGann better known as Kahn who’s part of the Young Echo collective alongside Vessell, Zhou, El Kid and Jabu, is probably best known for a couple of hyper coloured half- stepping twelve inches on the Punch Drunk label run by Peverelist, but there’s definitely more to his music than these two releases suggest, as illustrated by the more introspective digital debut ‘Altar’ EP on A Future Without and the later ‘Way Mi Defend’ on Box Clever. A collection of remixes and versions has recently been made available for free download featuring interpretations of tracks from Anneka, Rhythm & Sound, M.I.K and Maddslinky.
