Back in April last year Astral Black put out the excellent ‘Frass FM’ compilation to celebrate its first Birthday and they recently returned with a second volume which, much like its predecessor, is a collection of new and exclusive tracks from both the roster and from artists who have guested at the label’s parties in London and Glasgow over the last twelve months. Colourful hyper funk melodies and cosmic crushed beats are very much the order of the day with some sterling contributions from the likes of Jon Phonics, Bushido, Budgie, K15 and Jaisu, making for a comprehensive representation of the label’s sound and a good starting point for anyone unfamiliar it’s output. The fourteen tracks and remixes are available on a name your price basis.
